Colette, originally from Malin Head, now residing in Clonmany is well renowned throughout Donegal for her art work and began producing paintings of Samuel Beckett's work back in 2002.

Her expressionist style, producing vibrant paintings has made her work very distinctive and unique resulting in a high demand for her original work and limited edition prints.

Margo Beckett Magan, a first cousin of Samuel Beckett, made a surprise visit to the opening night of this exhibition. Margo, having attended previous exhibitions also, holds Colette and her work in very high regard and proudly displays one of Colette's original portraits of Samual Beckett in her home.

Colette's painting "THE GODFATHER" depicts Samual Beckett holding his Godson, Sorley Beckett Bouton, who is Margo's grandson and probably the only baby Samuel Beckett ever held.
